So after a glass of wine, (and plenty of pushing from friends and family), I've finally decided to take the plunge and start my first blog. LOL welcome to my new happy/bragging/creating place, my name is Kaylene I as of this current month will be a busy 31 year old : wife (to a wonderful man who I have adored since i was 16), mom (to two amazing boys. One 10 and one 6 who couldn't be more opposite which how that happened still amazes me), hairstylist/assistant and friend.

I'm a person who loves to make everyone feel amazing about themselves. Ive always been the friend that long before my hairstylist license, would be doing my girlfriends hair and make up before we went out...lol beer and hairspray in the bathroom ohhh the memories....! Which even eventually led me to do an old co-workers complete wedding party and herself for hair and make up which OMG thinking of that now what an honor! And a few other girlfriends make up for their weddings again HONOR!

I eventually went on and finally started working in the salon that I still am employed with as an assistant, which then pushed me to finish my high school diploma ( I know I know lol but hey I did it!), and enroll in St. Lawrence College in Kingston Ontario, and become first an apprentice and then a hairstylist.  Now some people might think that that is no big deal.... but at this time I had two children married and was I believe 27????? when i graduated the two year course? BIG DEAL!

My passion in the salon always has been and always will be the more creative sides of it....different styles of cuts, fun colors, and of course the most important to me the creativity from updos! In the summer I even travel to the next town and work in another salon with my boss because it is "The Wedding Capital Of Ontario"...lol or so we are told, to do nothing BUT wedding work. Which on one hand I absolutely LOVE, but its a massive stresser as well...its in a prestigious hotel, which means a) we rarely know the clients before hand so don't know their hair/preferences etc..and b) lol I'm not a real "spa setting girl". So now that you know the back story on how I have started bringing out my creativity....

Almost three years ago my husband and i purchased our first home, too many people I'm sure its not their dream home...lol I'm not sure its mine either but it is what we could afford and too be honest it was a steal! With this purchase opened up a new side of creativity to me... because i LOVE home decor....I love diy's and too be honest I love finding something on the side of the road (yep you read that right lol no shame...) and making it into something different or just beautiful again. As we couldn't afford all the beautiful things that I'm always pinning on pinterest or loving in stores. In the two and a half years we have owned our home too be honest I don't even know how many projects/diys I have completed....hence why I want to start this blog.

I would love this too be a place to show what I can do/how I do it. From hair or make up too projects around the house.....making others feel beautiful and making items beautiful is my passion....welcome to my journey and remember always find beYOUty♡
